The Christian group Campus Crusade for Christ decide to compromise.
How?
By changing the name of their organization to Campus Crusade Cru.
I say this organization has lost sight of what really matters.
Why should after all this time the group decides to care about what the world thinks about them instead of what God thinks about them?
Isn't the whole purpose of this organization to reach the world for Christ across the globe by reaching students on different school and college campuses?
Compromising may keep them from being sued, or looked down upon by ungodly groups out there, but it will not help them to do right by God.
Compromising never did anyone in the Bible any good at all.
Samson compromised and his life ended in a tragedy.
Others compromised and the end results were far from good, or pleasing to God. In fact God called their acts of compromise "doing what was right in thier own eyes..." "...wicked,...sinful..."
So shame on you Campus Crusade for Christ by turning your backs on your roots.
Compromising in this one area, can only lead to compromising in other areas and becoming a bad example to those you claim you seek to reach for Christ.
It is about time Christians groups like this one,and Christians as a whole quit compromising, and starting doing right by God even when it is not popular because it is the right thing to do.
-disappointed in this organization for its great compromise along with others that decide to heed to the worlds way of thinking
